About Us

I’ve had cats most of my life but when I started to work for animal shelters, I knew I had found my calling. My work in the animal welfare field also led to my involvement with helping to save feral cats, and I’ve spent many hours humanely trapping ferals to get them spayed or neutered to reduce cat-overpopulation and to create a better life for these homeless forgotten’s. No doubt my love of felines and working with shelter pets led, circuitously, to The Pampered Kitty.

I still remember the first cat fabric I bought in 1998, not even knowing then what I was going to do with it. At that time, I was beading jewelry and going to craft shows to sell the jewelry, while eventually realizing I really wasn’t very good at it. But when I saw that charming cat fabric, I was hooked! My destiny was sealed! Never did I envision I would eventually come to own over 700 different cat fabrics, probably one of the best collections in the country, and then go on to create a business catering to cats and cat lovers. A lovely journey it has been.

What is so fascinating about cat fabrics are the hundreds if not thousands of different ways cats are designed and represented: at the beach, in the garden, playing with mice, sleeping in every position imaginable, cats as mermaids, cat breeds, tuxedo cats, cats snow-boarding and the list goes on and on and on. You’ll get to see many of these enchanting and whimsical fabrics here at The Pampered Kitty.
